Two Queens Park Rangers academy players have been released on bail after they were arrested on suspicion of voyeurism.

The arrests, which took place on Thursday, are related to an incident at a nightclub in Kingston earlier this month.

The two players, who are part of QPR’s academy, have been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in early April.

Voyeurism is the the act of gaining sexual gratification from observing or recording someone engaged in a private activity without their consent, and the victim from the incident is receiving support from specialist officers.

In response to a request from Standard Sport on Friday morning, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Thursday, 27 February, police arrested two men in their late teens on suspicion of voyeurism.

“This follows a report of an incident which took place at a nightclub in Kingston on Wednesday, 5 February.

“Both suspects were taken into custody - they have both been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in early April. Enquiries are ongoing.

“The victim continues to be supported by specialist officers.”

QPR are aware of the alleged incident involving their two academy players and say the individuals are helping police with their enquiries.

A club statement on Friday morning read: “Queens Park Rangers Football Cub are aware of an alleged incident involving two academy players.

“The individuals are helping police with their enquiries.

“As this is an ongoing investigation, the club will not be making any further comment at this time.”
