DATES have been confirmed for this season's Championship play-offs, with the final taking place on Saturday, May 24.
The Championship showpiece will be the first of the three EFL play-off finals over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

After the regular Championship season comes to a close on Saturday, May 3, with all games kicking off at 12.30pm, the play-off gets underway five days later on Thursday, May 8, with the team that finishes sixth hosting the side that finished third in the first leg, 8pm kick-off. The second leg will take place on Monday, May 12 at 8pm.

The second Championship play-off tie, between the sides that finish fourth and fifth will take place on Friday, May 9 and Tuesday, May 13, both at 8pm. The side that finish fifth will be at home in the first leg.

Sunderland are currently fourth, 13 points adrift of the automatic promotion places and 12 ahead of seventh-placed Coventry. Regis Le Bris' side are next in action when they travel to Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night.
Boro, who host Derby on Saturday, are four points adrift of the top six.
