Liverpool sit 13 points at the top of the Premier League table.
Leaders Liverpool beat Newcastle 2-0 on Wednesday night, just after second-placed Arsenal drew 0-0 away at Nottingham Forest.
Current Premier League champions Manchester City won 1-0 away at Tottenham thanks to a goal from Erling Haaland. Manchester United overcame Ipswich 3-2 on a dramatic evening at Old Trafford, while Brentford drew 1-1 at home to Everton.
A poor run of form ended for Enzo Maresca, too. Chelsea smashed Southampton 4-0 on Tuesday, while Crystal Palace ran out 4-1 winners over Aston Villa.
West Ham host Leicester in the final game of the midweek action.
There is now a slight break in League action as attention turns to the FA Cup but the title race looks done and dusted, as does the relegation scrap.
